Marilynn Willey Death, Cause Of Death – Marilynn Willey, a former teacher and longtime Toledo resident whose involvement in local clubs and activities helped enrich the city she raised her family in, according to those who knew her, died Monday at her home. She was 102.
Born during the third wave of the 1918 flu pandemic, Mrs. Willey survived the coronavirus more than a century later. She tested positive for coronavirus just months after her 101st birthday but never had any major symptoms – not even a fever.
Mrs. Willey was born on March 18, 1919, in Springfield, Vt., to Grace Spencer Miller and Edward Whitney Miller. Her father was a pioneer in the machine tool field and was intimately associated with the development of the auto industry, according to his 1968 Blade obituary.
