Chance Gibson Death, Cause Of Death –  Former The Woodlands Runner Chance Gibson of Huntington Wv has passed away  in a car accident. Chance Gibson, a 2021 graduate of The Woodlands High School who ran cross country and track, died Saturday as a result of an automobile accident.

According to the police report, Gibson was traveling home from College Station Saturday morning for holiday break when the accident occurred.

Gibson was a standout distance runner for the Highlanders and was coached by Juris Green, who tweeted Saturday evening with a photo of the two of them last season “Love this kid. RIP Chance Gibson”. Chance’s father Spencer and his uncles Jeff Gibson, Jonny Gibson and Dave Gibson were all Texas A&M graduates.

“Words cannot express the loss of Chance,” Aggies head track and field coach Pat Henry said in a school press release. “Chance was a great young person with a bright future. He will be missed by everyone that came in contact with him. It is a sad day for Texas A&M, and our hearts are broken for his family and friends.”

Added Wendel McRaven, the Texas A&M cross country coach, “Our hearts are broken. Chance was a bright, funny, determined young man. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Gibson family. As a coach and a parent, this really is tough. It is going to take us all a while to wrap our heads around this tragedy.”
