He advised on the largest IPO in East and Central Africa involving the Kenyan government’s sale of a 25% stake in Safaricom on the then Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE).

His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta has condoled with the family of Mr Nani Njoroge Nani who passed away today at a Nairobi hospital after a long illness.

Nani is currently advising on the structuring of asset-backed securities (ABS) involving a power generation company that plans to securitize its receivables from various power purchase agreements into asset-backed securities (ABS).

He has represented the Kenya Airports Authority and advised it on the proposed airport concession for Jomo Kenyatta International Airport through a privately sponsored investment proposal.

He also represents power project owners and developers, including all aspects of the conceptualization and development of wind, solar and geothermal projects. Nani advised Geothermal Development Corporation (GDC) on the utilization, operation and maintenance of GDC’s 59 geothermal wells in the Olkaria Basin, with a capacity of approximately 280 MW.

Nani has in the past been recognized by Chambers & Partners as a leading lawyer in corporate business.
